Corzine photo triggers gag reflex

It's fortunate I saw the picture in the Press of Gov. Corzine raising his arm with a union demonstrator at a rally in Trenton before, not after, I had my breakfast today. Otherwise, I think I might have lost it.
Corzine came out to greet the thousands of demonstrators who gathered outside the Statehouse annex yesterday in support of his budget, which raises taxes by $1.8 billion and calls for a $1.3 billion contribution to state-funded pensions. Some lawmakers have called for union givebacks as an alternative to an increase in the sales tax; others have sought to reduce the state's contribution to the pension fund.
''Those who would cripple collective bargaining do a disservice to democracy," Corzine said. "I stand with you. I'll fight with you."
In recent weeks, I thought there was a chance Corzine would stand with, and fight for, the taxpayer. This state has no chance of digging its way out of its financial hole without a governor willing to tell the unions they are going to have to share the pain. His nauseating public show of support for the unions yesterday revealed a stunning lack of sensitivity to the plight of New Jersey's taxpayers.

We were extremely UNHAPPY to see the governor attending Monday's rally by public employees in support of his budget. An elected governor is suppose to support All taxpayers - not just government employees.

We were also DISAPPOINTED with the governor's comments Monday morning on NJ 101.5 talk radio. Unlike some spoiled government employees, we DO NOT support his sales tax increase. He did not introduce any ideas to cut the pork in NJ government. New Jersey taxpayers are NOT going to be fed more baloney by a governor again and accept it. We suggest the governor gets the money for the pension fund from the casino industry. They're loaded.

We recommend a government shutdown since our legislators avoid at all costs the words "fiscal responsibility" and "slashing government waste."
Their words - not ours. "... New Jersey has a spending problem - NOT a revenue problem." Instead of pointing fingers, they should look in the mirror.

We suggest contacting Gov. Corzine and your legislaors and visit the web sites:

Don't be mad at Corzine, after all you dummies from NJ voted him in by a wide majority. You have a liberal state and now a liberal governor to go with it.Now he is going to tax and spend your money very liberally. Some day you may vote in conservatives to run the state, but i'm not holding my breath. The only way things will change is if you leave the state or voters suffer more pain then they can bear, and from the last voting cycle you people show you can stand more pain.

Just as President Clinton paid police officers too stand behind him when he was supporting his anti-gun agenda(he had too make viewers think the police were behind him) Corzine like all Liberals does the same.
