Spread the word on PNC drinking crackdown
The State Police and venue operator Live Nation need to do a better job informing the public that drinking by minors, in the parking lots and in the venue itself, won't be tolerated. The most obvious places to deliver the message would be the home page of the PNC Bank Arts Center/Live Nation Web site and the Venue Information portion of the Ticketmaster Web site - the places most concertogers purchase their tickets.
Public service announcements also should be made on radio stations catering to young audiences and on message boards on the Garden State Parkway leading to the venue, from both directions.

My question is where are the parents? A drunk 14 year old? Great.
I have fond memories of the Garden State Arts Center (PNC - whatever).
Now all you read is about this nonsense with the drunkenness of young teens here.
You think the venue operator and Live Nation need to do a better job of informing the public about the prohibition and illegality of drinking by minors ...and that scares me. Why, because the need for the redundancy of it, the fact that this should be a NO-BRAINER, the fact that underage drinking was not this huge problem at this fine arts center years ago. Now, this issue says so much about societal problems in NJ, and probably across the nation.
I don't think I'm being melodramatic; for me, it's quite simple - the law is being broken over and over again, the children aren't listening. PNC might have to have a "21 and over" policy from now on, or, NOT offer alcohol.
I don't see how else things are going to change, as this story has now repeated itself in our local news since the Spring.
